The Infinite Beach Experience
There are few places left in Europe where the horizon remains uninterrupted for kilometers long. This 3-day journey takes you across the 20 km corridor of pristine coastline between Furadouro and São Jacinto between Aveiro and Porto in the north of Portugal.
On horseback, this distance isn’t just a measurement, it’s a transition into a deeper state of calm. Without the intrusion of roads and crowds, the connection between the rider, horse and nature becomes absolute. We will ride in all gaits, from cantering along the beaches at low tide to calming walks along the Atlantic Ocean and on forest and dunes trails. Always with the calming sounds of waves in the background. This is not a simple trail ride; it’s a journey for absolute horse adventurers who crave the salty freedom.
After the physical demand of the trek, the transition to your accommodation is profound. We swap the views of the Atlantic coastline for the horizon of the Aveiro Lagoon at the absolute comfortable family-run Livin Barca, a tranquil escape near São Jacinto. Here we recharge with enough time to relax — in a hammock, by the fire, or simply walking on this beautiful piece of land.
If you feel adventurous, there is time to enjoy some nautical experiences that are offered at Livin Barca, like stand up paddle boarding, waterski, hydrofoil & wakeboard. On our last day we will go a beautiful boat trip together on the Aveiro Lagoon.
All meals are lovingly prepared and mostly vegetarian.
You are more than welcome to treat yourself to a relaxing massage to fully unwind (not included in the price).
Itinerary:
Day 1
Meet the horses in the early morning and ride out along the beach and through forest and dune landscapes until we find shelter at Livin Barca where we enjoy a well prepared meal. We end our day at the fireplace whilst we watch the stars with a nice glass of wine or a cup of tea.

Time in the saddle: 4 – 6 hours
Day 2
On the second day we enjoy a calm morning at our refuge with the possibility of spending some time on the water with a nautical experience of choice in the Aveiro Lagoon. After an early lunch we ride out and spend the rest of the day in the saddle to ride until the pier of São Jacinto to come back to Livin Barca for another dinner and relaxing evening.

Day 3
On the last day we will explore the Aveiro Lagoon by boat and get the chance to see some flamingoes and other birdlife. After lunch we make our last ride along the beach, through the dunes and forest trails to arrive just before a last dinner awaits us at Bonanza the Land. After dinner we all return to our self-organized accommodation (not included).

”Me and my friend did a 3-day stay and ride with Carine at Bonanza the Land. We loved it from the beginning until the end! The warm welcome, the simple but comfortable cabin, the lovely dogs, beautiful horses and relaxed atmosphere.
